Star Wars: Attack Squadrons Announced

That's right, LucasArts and Disney have announced Star Wars: Attack Squadrons, a free-to-play online space combat game.

Not much has been announced about the game yet, but here's what we do know:

• It's free to play.
• There will three PVP game modes: Free for all, Team dogfight and base defense. These will all be 16 player dogfights.
• You can customise your ship, upgrading it and personalising it as you collect and modify them to your own specifications. Items can be unlocked from successful matches.
• You can team up with friends and create a community of Starfighter pilots.
• There will be regular updates with new ships, items and upgrades every month.
• It will be based in the Star Wars universe, in case you didn't get that much.
