Star Wars Battlefront Launch Window Announced

EA announced through Twitter today that Star Wars Battlefront will release in the holiday period of 2015:

May the Force be with you: Star Wars Battlefront will release for Holiday 2015.

The game which is currently being developed by DICE has been kept closely under wraps since its announcement at E3 earlier this year, although we can expect to see more footage of the game during Spring 2015.

The news comes as a welcome surprise considering how little footage that has been shown of the game so far. Next year will see the return of the franchise in big ways, with Star Wars: Episode VII  releasing in December and Star Wars Battlefront releasing in the same holiday window.
