Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 7.2 Is Available Now

It is nearly the 11-year anniversary of BioWare and EA’s MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic and what better way to celebrate than with new content? Update 7.2 is live now, introducing new story content, an all-new planet and daily area, player interface improvements, and an overhaul to the PvP system.

“Showdown on Ruhnuk” is the new story update that follows Shae Vizla’s pursuit of Heta Kol. Heta’s base of operations resides on planet Ruhnuk, a new location which features a dry, desert-like landscape. Players will explore Ruhnuk in the new Daily Area where they can expand their faction’s influence with weekly and daily missions, achievements, and rewards.

Update 7.2 also brings major changes to PvP. This revamp allows players to queue solo or as a group in 4v4 or 8v8 matches. Players will also enjoy the Onderon Palatial Ruins, a new 4v4 map. For gearing and progression changes, the developers have increased the Power Floor (for the first time ever) as well as the Power Ceiling, reducing catch-up time for new players.

Along with new story and gameplay content, BioWare is prioritising player experience and accessibility with this update. The UI updates include visual updates to the Welcome Window, more customisation options for the utility bar, a new colour blind mode, and a new pop-out map.

Starting on the 20th of December 2022 players will also enjoy Double XP and Valor until the 27th of December. Dive into the new update now on PC via the direct SWTOR launcher or Steam.
