STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town - Launch Date Revealed

STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town, the next entry in the beloved STORY OF SEASONS franchise, and the first mainline game in the series to be 100% new for the Switch, will release on 23rd March 2021. Check out the reveal from Nintendo's October Direct Mini: Partner Showcase above.

Just like previous games in the series, Pioneers of Olive Town involves farming, socialising and building an idyllic farm, all while living through the pleasures that come with small town life. With over 200 unique in-town events spread throughout the year, Olive Town promises to be the most 'alive' STORY OF SEASONS location yet.

New for this entry is an increased focus on freedom. Exploring and taming the overgrown wilderness that (eventually) will become your farm is a key part of the gameplay loop. You'll have to reclaim nature before you can even hope to tame it and build a life out of it. Mostly, however, this looks to be the same farm/life sim that players of grown to adore over the decades. Stardew Valley fans, this one's for you.
