Subnautica 2 Announces Early Access Launch Times

One of the most highly anticipated upcoming titles is launching very soon, as Unknown Worlds Entertainment prepares to open the doors to Subnautica 2. It's been a tumultuous development cycle for the team, as they've faced a lawsuit against owner (and publisher) Krafton that they won, gaining control back of the experience after months of fighting.

The title was set to release earlier, though following the issues that Krafton caused, Unknown Worlds Entertainment had to delay. Throughout all of this, Subnautica 2 became the most-anticipated launch on Steam, keeping its #1 spot as the top-wishlisted game on Steam for several consecutive months in a row — a massive feat when facing titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong's release back in September of 2025.

Now that the main developers are back at the helm, the team is focusing on its upcoming release date, creating the first-ever Dev Log for Subnautica 2, showcasing a lot of content. Perhaps more importantly, however, was that this same video gave us a look at some of the most important pieces of information that we were still missing.
