Subnautica 2 Releases Extended Gameplay Trailer

Subnautica 2 is the most-anticipated game on Steam right now, as it has dominated the top-wishlisted charts for months without a stop. Despite the Krafton lawsuit, the various hurdles standing along the way, and the expectations from fans, Unknown Worlds Entertainment trots on to the sequel's launch this week.

As we get so close to the upcoming release, we are officially getting a look at what we can expect in terms of gameplay. The latest trailer, for instance, gives us a bit of a beginning breakdown, introducing us to the ocean planet that we'll be exploring in the title.

While it offers somewhat of a gameplay glimpse as to what to expect in the alien oceans, it's also a very story-driven trailer to let us know what we can expect. Players arrive in the alien world thanks to Alterra, but after the colony ship CICADA goes awry, the AI NoA insists that the mission must continue... against all odds.

Now, abandoned in the alien world, the Pioneers of the CICADA ship must do whatever it takes to survive, all the while fighting back against some seemingly supernatural elements. Conquer the deep sea, conquer the alien planet, and conquer the mysterious "tree" in order to survive and ensure the future of humanity in this world.
