Super Smash Bros Tailgate Tour Announced

Grab your American Football gear, because Nintendo is taking the Wii U Super Smash Bros. demo on a tour of college football games in the US.

The tour is set to have nine stops, all in the midwest and south, so west-coast Nintendo fans are out of luck--short of getting the 3DS version, of course. The stops on the Tailgate Tour are:

• Oct 4 | Louisiana State v. Auburn University | Auburn, Alabama
• Oct 11 | Penn State v. Michigan | Ann Arbor, Michigan
• Oct 18 | Georgia v. Arkansas | Little Rock, Arkansas
• Oct 25 | Alabama v. Tennessee | Knoxville, Tennessee
• Nov 1 | Georgia v. Florida | Jacksonville, Florida
• Nov 8 | Alabama v. Louisiana State | Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• Nov 15 | Florida State v. Miami | Miami, Florida
• Nov 22 | Louisville v. Notre Dame | South Bend, Indiana
• Nov 29 | Michigan v. Ohio | Columbus, Ohio

Nintendo intends to feed into team rivalries by pitting fans of opposing teams against one another on the demo--and then posting the results to Facebook.

While the Nintendo 3DS version has already been released, the Wii U version is set to hit shelves "sometime this holiday season."
