Temtem: Pioneers Share an Early Look at Mounts
The Temtem universe is about to expand a little bit more, as Crema moves forward with Temtem: Pioneers after the success of its Kickstarter. Following in the footsteps of Palworld, this new entry will allow players to explore an untamed frontier, meeting a large roster of temtem through an open world survival craft experience.
The Kickstarter was nothing short of a success, with the funding period earning Crema nearly six times the original pledge goal, going from €90,000 to €535,595, hitting all seven of the announced stretch goals. It's nothing short of a blow-out success, as players look forward to the upcoming launch in December 2028.
Now, we got a look at the new Temtem: Pioneers mounts that players will be enjoying, as part of the third stretch goal hit in the campaign: Improved Mount System (€300,000). The short announcement on Steam gives us early looks at the various mounts that players can expect, alongside short videos of riding them.

Mount temtem will be designated by being given a craftable saddle, which will presumably remove them from the combat party and instead become a designated movement temtem. There are currently four categories of mounts, including running, gliding, climbing, and swimming, and some temtem can be specialised and handle several of the types at once.
We also learned a bit more about the species-based performance and the stat buffs that each mount can have. Essentially, some temtem will naturally excel at specific terrain, such as the Chimurian being one of the fastest ground mounts.
This, however, can be upgraded by having various temtem with different SPD stats, which will increase how fast they traverse. It's an interesting system, as it'll encourage players to find the right temtem for the right job, giving more of a reason to farm for the perfect mount temtem within the right species for those who want to get the most out of the experience.

In addition to this is the fact that Temtem: Pioneers will allow players to turn Luma temtem into mounts as well. Not only will the SPD stat matter, but for those looking to go the extra mile, finding the right colour for the temtem will be an important part for collectors.
Temtem: Pioneers is set to launch sometime in December 2028, according to the Kickstarter, with the Steam release date set to "To be announced".
