The Elder Scrolls Online Going F2P?

The Elder Scrolls Online Going F2P?

It has been revealed that the billing options in The Elder Scrolls Online have changed to remove the 180-days option.

According to a post on the French forums, it has been because customers "prefer the shorter subscriptions". However with the console release coming some time soon, players are speculating that it will be changing to a free-to-play model instead of the current subscription based one.

Star Wars: The Old Republic went from subscription to F2P only 11 months after release. If TESO follows the same arc, the console release would be this March.

There are players who disagree, saying that the team is currently focussed on the console versions and Update 6, which will introduce the Champion system and Justice system.
