The Elder Scrolls Online's Latest Year-Long Story Event Revealed

On 16th January at the HyperX Esports Arena, ZeniMax Online Studios unveiled what 2020 had in store for The Elder Scrolls Online. The latest chapter, Greymoor, will let players explore Western Skyrim in a year-long interconnected storyline that introduces brand-new world events and gameplay mechanics.

Elder Scrolls fans will be familiar with large parts of Skyrim, but Greymoor will bring players to parts of the land that The Elder Scrolls V  never did, in a brand-new era to boot. Set 900 years before TES V, the land has been taken over by a vampire lord who has corrupted the land beyond recognition. Filled with new enemies, mysteries and the treacherous Blackreach Cavern —this won't be a retread of tired old ground.

Greymoor's year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim adventure will be released over the course of four updates:

  • Update 1: Prologue Quest and Harrowstorm DLC Dungeon Pack
  • Update 2: The Greymoor Chapter
  • Update 3: DLC Dungeon Pack
  • Update 4: Story DLC

In addition to this: never-before seen world events, a fresh trial and new side quests will come to the game. Included in the additional content is a new 'Antiquities' activity will have players teaming up to track down artifacts across the land for rewards and an insight into the world's history.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor will release on PC and Mac 18th May; Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will receive the pack 2nd June. Check out the trailer above and for more information visit ESO's official website.
