It was a big night for From Software’s latest epic, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice taking away the awards for best action/adventure game as well as the overall game of the year award, beating Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding to the punch.

Death Stranding and Kojima Productions did walk away with a fair share of awards as well, snagging the awards for best soundtrack and best studio while Mads Mikkelsen took the award for best performance.

It was also a great night for Nintendo’s surprise smash hit, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, picking up the awards for best strategy game as well as the Player’s Voice award essentially making Fire Emblem the audience pick for game of the year.

The true winners of the night however were ZA/UM, the developers behind Disco Elysium, bringing home a total of four awards for best narrative, best debut indie game, best RPG and best independent game.
