The Guild: Ren Faire'd Releases Kickstarter and Hits Goal in Just A Few Hours

Felicia Day is back with The Guild: Ren Faire'd, the reunion movie for the original cast. Announced a few months ago, lovers of the movie were invited to sign up for an email newsletter to keep up-to-date with the content for a subsequent release on the 20th of July.

Now, The Guild: Ren Faire'd has been shown off, where the team will be filming at a Renaissance faire, following with the usual shenanigans of the original hit YouTube series. All of the original actors reprise their roles as their characters, and a few cameos with series regulars were confirmed in the video.

We also got a look at all of the content that we can expect in terms of backer bonuses, including a new card game titled Swords and Sweethearts and a Dungeons & Dragons booklet for players to follow along. The Guild: Ren Faire'd became the highest-followed Kickstarter movie in the history of the platform, so it's no surprise that it hit its pledge goal of $1,500,000 USD in just a few hours after launch. Featuring tiers that start at $20 to get the movie and end at a whopping $25,000, there's pretty much a tier for fans to pledge what they wish.

The Kickstarter is available for 32 days, which means fans have until the 21st of August 2026 to get their pledges in.
