The Original NieR is Coming to Current Gen Systems

In celebration of the original game’s 10th anniversary, NieR Replicant is receiving a release for current consoles under the absurdly convoluted title NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...

This will mark the first time this specific version of NieR has seen a release outside of Japan. While the original NieR did receive a Western release (referred to as NieR Gestalt), in that version players controlled an older version of the titular character who acted as the sickly Yonah’s father. Replicant on the other hand features a younger version of the lead who is Yonah’s older brother as opposed to her father.

The reveal trailer for this release doesn’t include any in-game footage, so it’s unclear as to whether this will just be a higher resolution re-release of the same game, or a more notable visual enhancement. There is also no set release date for the title, only a confirmation that it will be launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC some time in the future.

What the hell is wrong with Square Enix? Who is ever going to remember that game title?

Sorry Ace, but if you don't remember the full title you're not a real gamer.
