The "Scorched Earth" Update Hits Dauntless

Free-to-play cooperative monster hunting RPG, Dauntless, has just received a shot of new content with the Scorched Earth update for Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via the Epic Games Store. Take a look at the launch trailer above and read on for an overview of what players will find in the update:

Blaze Escalation

A gauntlet of randomised Behemoth encounters with unique gameplay modifiers. Players who best this mode's challenges will do fierce battle with the Torgadoro, Gauntless'  latest and most fearsome Behemoth yet...

The Torgadoro

Capable of climbing walls and hurling flaming projectiles from above, the Torgadoro is a colossal Behemoth that shouldn't be faced unprepared. Toppling the Torgadoro will reward players with schematics for legendary "Torgadoro weapons". As well as boasting two prismatic cell slots, these weapons can also be bonded with another blaze weapon and be used to summon Torgadoro's rage in a unique special move.

Searing Talons Hunt Pass

The 'Season Pass' concept is a standard for multiplayer free-to-play titles nowadays, and Dauntless'  take on the concept doesn't stray far from the norm. With 50 tiers of rewards including cosmetic items, bounty tokens, currency and consumables, there's a fair amount for players to get their hands on. At its higher tiers sits the "dazzling" 'Blaze Hawk' armour skin set.

Players who max out all 50 tiers will start to earn Vault Coins, a new in-game currency that can be used to buy rare items from previous Hunt Passes.

All of this, and a series of 'quality of life' improvements, can be found in Dauntless'  free Scorched Earth update—available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC (via the Epic Games Store).
