The Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo on Origin
In their press conference for Gamescom, EA revealed that they're adding a demo of the Create-A-Sim feature from The Sims 4 to Origin for fans to experiment with.
The best-selling PC franchise is set to have it's latest reboot in less than a month, but the company decided to go ahead and give fans an early peek at one of the game's defining features. Create-A-Sim, for those unfamiliar with the series, is the menu where players have the opportunity to design the appearance, ambitions and personalities of their Sims. Unsurprisingly, it's also where players have a tendency to invest hours of their time sculpting the perfect families; they will, after all, be following them for generations to come.
Earlier this year, EA released a trailer explaining the in-depth overhaul to CAS's menu system, replacing it with a tactile grab-and-drag approach the studio hopes will be more intuitive. This is in line with the studio's goal of bringing the focus back on the Sims themselves while providing players with a wider range of options to mess around with.
The Create-A-Sim demo was available for early access last month, and after its success, EA decided to open the demo up to the public at large. Players can download the Create-A-Sim demo for free through Origin, EA's digital distribution software. You can also check out our coverage of the E3 demo here.
