The Steam Awards Are Here, but When Are the Winners Announced?

The Steam Awards are a great way to show love to the titles that have kept you entertained throughout the past year, while also getting a cool new badge and sharing the list with friends.

In order to get the craftable badge, players have to nominate titles in this year's categories, which are:

• Game of the Year
• VR Game of the Year
• Labor Love (games that got support post-launch)
• Best Game on Steam Deck
• Better With Friends
• Outstanding Visual Style
• Most Innovative Gameplay
• Best Game You Suck At
• Best Soundtrack
• Outstanding Story-Rich
• Sit Back and Relax

Afterwards, they've got to play one of their nominated games and also review (or update a review). All great ways to show love and support to the titles!

Players can nominate their favourites from now until the 31st of December; then, they can return to vote on the five finalists during the Winter Sale, which will begin on the 18th of December and end on the 3rd of January. The winners will be announced immediately after the votes close at 6 pm GMT.
