The Unliving Releases from Early Access with New Trailer

Released in Steam Early Access on the 7th of November in 2022 (after a heart-breaking delay that stopped it from releasing on Halloween), it's finally time for everyone to enjoy The Unliving with its full release! Developed by RocketBrush Studio and published by Team17 Digital, this action-RPG title has you taking control of a powerful necromancer as you go through the world in roguelite action RPG!

As of the 26th of October, less than a year after the original Early Access release, you can now pick up The Unliving and experience the full title. But you might be wondering what's new in comparison to its previous state. 

Well, it seems like update 1.0 has a couple of things up its sleeve. One of the additions is Aim-assist, especially for necromancers who want to experience the title in controller! You can now choose between aim-assist and auto-aim, which should be a welcome change for everyone who struggles to play titles that require aiming at joypads.

It isn't only Quality-of-Life improvements coming, however, as you also have a couple of extra things, such as the official final boss that will truly test all of your Necromancy skills, a new pair of Ascension Throne upgrades, and even a slew of spells that will mix up the gameplay a bit. The spells seem to be more late-game choices, so you won't see this change reflected in starting runs.

Also alluded is the potential of post-game content, though that information wasn't shared. Only the strongest and most capable necromancers will be able to defeat the fitting final boss, and after the final showdown, you'll find a bit more content. Those who — much like their armies — aren't done, even at the end.
