The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series Release Dated

Following the conclusion of Telltale Game’s long running and critically acclaimed take on The Walking Dead earlier this year, a definitive edition for the entire series has been announced.

This definitive collection not only includes all four seasons of the game, the 400 Days DLC and The Walking Dead: Michonne which fills in some of the gaps from the comic book series that the game is based on, but it also includes a plethora of other extras as well. These extra features include a director’s commentary, behind-the-scenes features, a short documentary titled “Return of The Walking Dead”, classic menus, over 140 music tracks and a “graphic black” artstyle which does a more accurate job of emulating the style of the comic book series. Creative director of the game Kent Mudle has this to say about the new artstyle: “Graphic black is a loving tribute to the source material and a powerful art style that makes the game look like a living comic book. An idea the team formulated and perfected with THE FINAL SEASON, this new visual styling offers longtime fans a way to play the series again in a brand-new light while giving new audiences a smooth visual ride across all seasons.”

Late last year, Telltale Games unfortunately shut down mid-way through the development of Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Thankfully the creator of the comic book series Robert Kirkman’s company Skybound acquired the rights to the game and hired most of the original staff, leading to the completion of the game without too long of a delay.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is available on 10th September both physically and digitally for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
