There Are No Ghosts at the Grand's Latest Music Video Features Marcia Richards!

The upcoming story-driven simulation title, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, is being developed and published by Friday Sundae. In it, players embody Chris David — a man who unexpectedly inherits a dilapidated hotel; the catch? He's got 30 days and 30 nights to restore it, or else.

By day, players will find themselves doing normal activities, such as restoring the hotel and sprucing it up for its guests. By night, the same tools that help clean up the hotel become their very weapons against the vengeful spirits!

By day, players will use a variety of tools to renovate and repair the hotel and the surrounding village... by night, they'll use those same things to fight off the spirits! Use the paint sprayer to reveal the ghosts and fight them with the furniture cannon, like throwing a bookcase at them.

Whenever the sun is out, and players are exploring the village, they'll encounter various buildings in need of restoration. As they help, they'll uncover secrets, cryptic clues, and various puzzles!

The English seaside village also has numerous activities for players to destress in, such as riding a scooter, playing mini-golf, and even walking along the beach with a metal detector! There's also a fishing boat ready to be used to explore the ocean and dredge up sunken treasures.

Players will find that There Are No Ghosts at the Grand has many elements to it, including a mix of musical! Characters that the players meet and help have their own story, and it's waiting to be uncovered... via a duet! Each song is unique.

Friday Sundae confirmed that Marcia Richards, the vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from The Skints, will voice Lily, one of the game’s key characters. The character offers a musical style shaped by reggae, ska, dub, and punk, which Marcia brings to life.

The singer had the following to say about her role,

I love playing Lily. She’s funny, feisty, optimistic, but also vulnerable, uncertain, and trying her best to hold this not-haunted hotel together when Chris, the player character, suddenly appears. Her songs are amazing, and it’s been so much fun getting to know all the twists and turns in her story.

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand is more than just about spirits... players are unearthing something old and deep; something patient. A Lovecraftian mystery awaits!
