Ubisoft have dropped a surprise announcement that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is in development.
Massive Entertainment are working on the second installment along with help from Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Sofia, and Ubisoft Shanghai. This massive effort will be working on an updated version of the Snowdrop engine which will help make the larger vision possible.
Thankfully this doesn't mean the end of Tom Clancy’s The Division as Ubisoft will release two more updates that will be new global events, an Xbox One X patch, four more legendary missions and more likely to be announced in due course. In June 2018 though a new feature called "Crests" will be added to the Tom Clancy’s The Division allowing players to earn unlocks for the new game when it releases.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is currently in development and more details will be released at E3 2018.
