Ultra Street Fighter IV Gets Edition Select

Capcom has confirmed that the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV  will have an "edition select" mode.

This "edition select" mode will allow players to select characters based on their original balance settings from any of the previous versions of Street Fighter IV. This mode is designed to appease those who may be unhappy with the new Ultra rebalancing and possibly to extend the game's lifespan in the tournament scene. 

The mode is not a first for the series, the 2003 release Hyper Street Fighter II: Anniversary Edition also allowed it, which let players choose character balance data from a variety of Street Fighter II re-releases.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will be release in arcades, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in June of this year.
