Editor's Note: The astute amongst you will have probably noticed the date on this article already. This April Fools gag was brought to you by GameGrin.com.

In the 21st century, tech entrepreneurs are becoming the new rock stars. With people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs being idolised for the ways they have improved (or at least fundamentally changed) our lives.

In the world of PC gaming, there’s no bigger story than that of the rise of Valve, so it seems fitting that following on from films like The Social Network and Steve Jobs, that our next big technology biopic is set to be based on the rise and rise of the Steam owners, focussing primarily on their enigmatic leader Gabe Newell.

Leaked emails from production company Trigger Street have shown us that the film will likely be called High Pressure and is set to star Kong:Skull Island, 21 Cloverfield Street and Curious George 3:Back to the Jungle star John Goodman. The veteran actor will be playing the lead role of Gabe Newell, alongside Moira Stewart and rapper Xzibit.

Goodman will play the lead role in the film, due 2019.

Warcraft director Duncan Jones is in talks to direct the film, which we understand is slated for a tentative 2019 release at present. It might not be the Half-Life movie we were hoping for, but it should give an insight into how the biggest PC gaming company in the world came to be.
