Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Now Available

ROUND ONE! READY! GO! On June the 1st SEGA of America launched Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate showdown as a worldwide PlayStation 4 exclusive which will be available for free of PlayStation Plus members until the 2nd of August.

Remade as part of the SEGA 60th Anniversary project, the 3D fighter is back with new graphics, music, visuals, online features, and a bucket of other things. A bundle of the game and the Legendary Pack DLC can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store for $29.99/ €29.99 / £24.99, with the DLC separately available for $9.99/ €9.99 / £7.99.

The new version of Virtua Fighter 5 ultimate Showdown features enhanced online play with match types like Tournaments and Leagues, 16-player private rooms, a new Spectate Mode and room UI, and communications tools like stamps that offer players and viewers more online functionality than ever before. The game allows you to pick one of 19 fighters and enter classic modes like “Rank Match,” “Arcade,” Training” and “Offline Versus.”

The new UI and background music have been updated in-game UI featuring automatic match replays from top competitors around the world on the main game menu and background music composed by long-time members of the Virtua Fighter sound team .

The Legendary Pack includes a wide range of customization items, costumes, classic characters models, and other content celebrating the history and legacy of Virtua Fighter with close to 2000 character customisation options which will no doubt take longer to sort through than it will take to play the first couple of matches.
