VR Platformer STRAYLIGHT Out Now
Developed by Dr BLOC, STRAYLIGHT has left Early Access with its 1.0 launch, featuring new content for this first-person cosmic VR platformer.
STRAYLIGHT has been designed for comfort and speed with the “Fling Engine” physics system that limits motion sickness. Overall, the game is meant to be easy to learn and hard to master. You’ll use your own movement to beam and swing yourself through galactic levels while using your momentum and reflexes to dodge deadly obstacles. As you master manoeuvres, you’ll be well on your way to becoming the fastest in the galaxy. Beat your own runs or race your friends’ ghosts as you try to compete against their times.
The 1.0 launch features overhauled visuals, additional characters, and a new storyline to enjoy. Newcomers to the VR scene will be able to play in Zen Mode, and VR veterans will be put to the test with 11 brand-new “hardcore” challenges — a perfect way to hone your reflexes. No matter your skill level, you’ll enjoy swinging through the stars with an original progressive synth-wave soundtrack playing throughout your runs. A DMCA-free, stream-friendly soundtrack will also be available on major streaming platforms.
STRAYLIGHT is available now on Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, Valve Index, and the HTC Vive.
