Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Shows Off Upcoming Practice Arena Mode for Patch 13
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been a bit of an enigma, offering free content updates following its successful launch on the 9th of September 2024. After its successful launch, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment vowed to keep all gameplay-focused content updates free for players to enjoy, while the cosmetics were the way that the team would monetise the experience.
It's now been almost two years, and with the recent announcement of the third year of support, spirits are high. In the latest April Community Update, we got to learn a lot about what we can expect regarding the upcoming Patch 13, and aside from new PvE content and a highly requested quality-of-life feature, an imperative new mode has been added.
Available in single-player, players will be able to go to the Barge and try out the Practice Arena. Here, players will be able to pick any weapon and loadout, and try it out against any enemy variation and difficulty.

This means that there's the opportunity to pick enemies that appear in various Operations, pick your desired difficulty, and then test weapons against them. With this comes the total damage dealt and damage per second, which should give players the opportunity to learn more about their loadout before taking them into official game modes.
The six-minute gameplay look gives players a chance to learn more about the Practice Arena and its intended uses. You can check it out above!
The Practive Arena is set to release with the launch of Patch 13, sometime in May.
