Watch the Launch Trailer for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach that Confirms New Features!
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, developed by KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS and Nixxes Software and published by the former and PlayStation Publishing LLC, is the sequel to the beloved original entry. In it, players will once again step into the role of Sam Porter as he embraces a new adventure: to connect Australia and Mexico to the Chiral network in hopes of saving humanity from extinction.
In the latest trailer revealed for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, named No Rain No Rainbow, the team will confirm the new features that will be available! The video itself has even been edited by Hideo Kojima himself.
Before we move on to the gameplay features, the cast of actors has been mentioned, too! Norman Reedus is coming back as Sam, but players can also look forward to the following actors: Elle Fanning, Troy Baker, Shioli Kutsuna, Luca Marinelli, George Miller, Nicolas Winding, Guillermo del Toro, Alissa Jung, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Léa Seydoux, and Fatih Akin.

Let's unpack the PC version features first. Players can expect various features that will support smoother performance and better graphics, such as integration with NVIDIA’s DLSS, AMD’s FSR, and Intel’s XeSS. This is alongside uncapped frame rates and customisable graphic settings, and support for up to super ultrawide 32:9.
Players who have a high-end PC will be able to enable Ray Tracing for reflections and ambient occlusion. This means water, tar, and lighting effects will all help make the environments more realistic.
Mouse and keyboard will be fully supported, as well as complete DualSense controller integration, including haptic feedback, adaptive trigger, and Spatial Sound Support.

PlayStation 5 players will also have standard ultrawide (21:9) support! Additionally, they will receive PlayStation Connection Bonuses as a game update on the PC launch date. For those interested in getting more unique items, by connecting their accounts to PlayStation, they will receive unique in-game design patches for their backpacks and an exclusive suit inspired by the PlayStation logo.
Next up, here are all the new features that will be available for all versions of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach!
First up, there's a new challenge mode, called To the Wilder. In it, players will be dropped in extreme environments filled to the brim with enemies; here, they will attempt to complete orders. There's no way out until it's game over!

Trapped in a Strange Realm is a new VR training area. In it, players can relive Sam's confrontations with Neil and unlock new fieldware for doing so, such as bandanas!
Fans of the Chiral Feline can expect it to appear in the private room aboard the DHV Magellan. Additionally, the Photo Mode will also have the Chiral Feline, among other things that haven't been mentioned.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach can be pre-loaded now and is set to release on the 19th of March!
