In hopes of uncovering what happened and unearthing the truth of the city, Hayao Maelström, a young Japanese inventor, sets off on an adventure alongside his clever dog Alpina. This will take him all across the city, engaging with various characters, and solving all sorts of puzzles.

He can't quite trust everyone, however: some people will lie, and Hayao needs to meticulously analyse their testimonies and find possible inconsistencies! This, paired up with the various clues he'll discover, might tell the whole and true story.
