Stairway Games and Balor Games'Coral Island was released on the 14th of November 2023, but the team has been active in adding new content and features for the past few years. The most recent one is Ocean & Kisses, which is available now!

New content and features have been added across various parts of the game, from NPC interactions to multiplayer and even for the merfolk! Since this will be a long piece, let's get right to it.

New content for romance and relationship

• Two new dateable NPCs: Agung and Raina.
• Dateable NPCs can invite players to Hangouts.
• Wedding anniversaries are available, and they offer special dialogue and interaction.
• A jealousy and attention system has been added where dateable NPCs will react if the player gets close to others (can be toggled in Settings).

Save files

• There are now up to 10 character save slots.
• Files can be renamed.
• Manual save can happen anywhere, at any time, and in any slot.
• Every save can be reloaded through the Escape Menu and then Load Game.

Merfolk and Underwater

• A new event: Festival of the Sun, which happens on Summer 19 to 21.
• New slice-of-life cutscenes for Merfolk NPCs.
• Speech bubbles are now available.
• Underwater Creatures have a gift and receive interaction.
• Food recipes can be accessed through the Merfolk POI Recipe.
• Player and player marriage can happen in the Merfolk Colosseum.

Multiplayer

• Added Kiss, Hug, and Hangout interactions between players.
• Players can regain stamina by sleeping while others are awake.

Hangouts

• New Hangout place options, including a new Observing Wildlife at some locations.
• The Tree Planting Festival Area in Purwo Woods becomes a Hangout location after Year 4.
• Hangouts are available in different weather conditions, with some being dependent on it.

Cutscenes and story

• 24 Temple Offerings will cause a new cutscene and environmental changes.
• A new cutscene is available that ends the Giant Story.
• The second baby's first day now has a new cutscene.
• When winning the Harvest Faceoff, there are different Bobby scenes that play.

Items and collections

• All recipes are now discoverable via TV, NPC mail, clover, and some POIs.
• Torn Pages have been reworked into standard inventory items: they can be picked up, held, and discarded.
• Reading a Torn Page now consumes it and adds it to the Journal.
• If the player's inventory is full when a Torn Page drops, it remains in the overworld waiting to be picked up.

Furniture and displays

• Fish Tanks, Insectariums, and Vases are available in the Furniture Store in Starlet Town.
• Tanks come in three sizes, and species can be safely mixed inside them.

Farming and ranching

• Sawee can now hibernate, which will send them to the Seed Maker; interact with them to awaken.
• Colour variants are available for cows, chickens, and horses.
• Variants can be unlocked randomly as the Town Rank increases.
• Starlet Milk and Starlet Eggs have been added, which sell for more than the regular ones.
• Auto-Feeders can be placed anywhere in barns.
• Horses can now be sold.

World and progression

• More effects have been added to Seasonal Day, such as leaves, birds, frogs, petals, and more.
• New enchantment skills have been added to the Lumina Wand.
• Road to Rank A quest has been added as part of the Town Rank A flow rework.
• Town Rank S gift has been added upon reaching it.
