Weydlets Announces Three Upcoming DLC After Moving from F2P Model
A few months ago, the cosy desktop companion game Weyrdlets moved on from its free-to-play model into a paid one, removing its monetisation alongside it. This was a highly requested and praised change, as the microtransactions prevented players from enjoying the experience to the fullest, and all of the previously paid items were moved to free.
Now, the team has announced three brand-new DLCs arriving in the game, which should bring a few premium cosmetics, more pets, and furniture for players to enjoy. The announcement gave us a sneak peek at all three of them, letting us see what we can expect for them when they launch.
Here are the three DLC that we learned about!
- The Wasabi DLC: With this DLC, a new pet will be joining the trio of characters that players can adopt. The titular Wasabi will be joining, which is an avian companion that'll waddle around the desktop, all with new colours for players to enjoy!
- The Mellow Meadows DLC: This new DLC brings a new home for players to decorate, all the while keeping the original Cozy Island that the game starts with. It's inspired by cottagecore looks, bringing a two-storey house and plenty of room to decorate.
- The Magical Treasures DLC: The final of the three brings all sorts of fantasy items to the mixture. For those who love magic and the like, expect furniture, accessories, decorations, and a new Worble Orb!

Each of the DLC will be priced between $2.99–$4.99 each, priced according to the content that each will bring. The three DLC will launch in "about a month or so", and they've already received their own store pages on Steam that you can check out — you can find them over on Upcoming Releases to see more of the DLC.
