Why Did Skyverse Change the Name to Everwind?
Developed by Enjoy Studio S.A. and published by Bohemia Interactive, Everwind is an upcoming first-person open-world survival sandbox with procedurally generated worlds. Players can venture off into the vast lands alone or with friends to do everything from scavenging for resources to going head-to-head against all sorts of foes. At the time of writing, the game has 8,769 followers on Steam.
For many, this exciting upcoming adventure used to be known as SkyVerse, but there's a good reason for the name change: it wasn't a stylistic choice. Here's what Michał Baraniak, CEO at Enjoy Studio S.A., had to say about the seemingly sudden rebranding:
A few weeks ago, our trademark application was contested. While the legal issue could have been resolved over a lengthy court process, we decided not to proceed with it, as it would significantly delay bringing the game to the players. Given that development is progressing well and that we want to bring Everwind to players as soon as possible, we've decided to move forward with a new name. We also believe that the new name represents the world and our vision much better, allowing us to stay fully focused on crafting the best experience possible for our community.
Hopefully, the sudden brand change won't hurt the Everwind's visibility, as the community can become confused, making it easier for the game to get lost.
Everwind will release to Steam's Early Access! Stay tuned for more information about the release date.
