World Of Warcraft Subscriptions Up 600,000

After a pretty disastrous last quarter Activision blizzard have announced that World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor is now turning that around and gaining subscribers again.

A part of this has to be the fact that Activision Blizzard have given all of the previous expansions to all accounts including reactivated accounts for free. 

This jump of 600,000 has come much earlier than expected by analysts and is good news after the 800,000 fall last quarter. Lifting the numbers to 7.4 million with an expectation of it hitting 7.7 million by the end of the year.

On November the 13th the expansion is released and this may bump numbers even higher, but it is almost certain that World of Warcraft will never see the likes of the 12.5 million subscribers seen in its hay day.
