Zaahen Receives Official League of Legends Preview Video As Final Champion of 2025

The final Darkin has finally been introduced, as players get a glimpse at the upcoming Zaahen, the Unsundered. This legendary Darkin follows a lore far removed from his bloodthirsty brethren, but before we go any further into this article, we'd like to issue a warning: this video — and thus, this article — contains spoilers for the final cinematic of League of Legends 2025. If you're a fan of the lore and have been following closely, give that a watch first before diving into Zaahen.

Lore lovers who have been following the story so far will remember the second bird ascended teased during one of the latest comics, as Zaahen was shown off as a benevolent Ascended who gave his all until the end. With his spear thrust, and LeBlanc on the lookout with Atakhan leashed, the final cinematic reveals the true nature of Zaahen, as Xin Zhao grips his spear in a desperate bid to defeat Atakhan.

The one-minute trailer on the official YouTube League of Legends YouTube channel gives us a look at what Zaahen's abilities, and veteran League of Legends players will recognise Xin Zhao–esque attacks, as all of his skills (except his passive and ultimate) are all inspired by the Seneschal of Demacia's kit.
