Booble H Review

When this was released in 2021, it was called Booble Hentai, but somewhere along the line it changed its name to Booble H. It’s a bubble popping puzzle game with a difference, and no, that difference is not the art of naked women.

Booble H sees you, a seagull, throwing coloured balls towards some other descending coloured balls in an attempt to stop them from colliding with you. What makes this different from others of the genre is that you can use various platforms to jump around and change the angles you have access to.

The backdrop of each level has a drawing of a woman in one of three stages of undress. After the third image, you’re treated to a new character. Quite how they are relevant to the ongoing action is unclear, as there is no story. Also, the bubbles don’t actually hide anything.

Once you’ve finished a level, you can see the unblemished art from the main menu, but you’ve basically seen everything anyway. And, for some reason, it’s a purely text-based menu. No previews or thumbnails, you have to find the lady and state of undress you wanted by scrolling through their names… which you’re not told in the levels.

The artwork is decent, with some references and good poses. The bubble bursting is some decent pixel art. The music, however, is just one track over and over, so you won’t want to listen to it the whole time.

Booble H has 30 levels with 10 women, and they go by pretty quickly. It costs less than £1/$1, so honestly, I don’t think you can expect any more.
