18 Bold(ish) E3 Predictions

E3 is a matter of hours away - the best time of year if you’re a gamer - and although we’ve had a flurry of pre-press conference announcements (bloody typical), here’s a selection of some of GameGrin’s finest predictions:

A New GTA or Red Dead

2K has hinted that they will be at the show in a ‘big way’ this year and it doesn’t get much bigger than Rockstar. While safe money would be on another Red Dead title, who’s to say GTA VI isn’t already in the works?

PlayStation 4K/Neo Formally announced, punters blinded by science

It’s the impending inevitable. A more expensive, more powerful PlayStation. While it’s something we don’t need (Uncharted 4 ran fine on my console), expect Sony to blind us with technical jargon and leave us throwing our wallets at the nearest retailer.

PSVR Release Date

We know the month, October, but expect to see a solid release date around the mid-October time as well as some games we can expect to see six-months to a year after it’s release.

Watch_Dogs 2

It’s already been confirmed, but don’t expect Ubi to shy away from dedicating a large chunk of the press conference to the latest installment, reassuring us it’ll be a better experience than the original.

Kojima Shows us his new game in motion

After following his Twitter breadcrumb clues, it all culminates in him taking to the stage and blowing everybody away with his new title, starring none other than Norman Reedus.

Crash Bandicoot Return

There have been a lot of subtle hints and not-so subtle rumours circulating recently. Though it’s unlikely to be a Naughty Dog return, Crash could be in the hands of another developer chomping at the bit to break some crates and eat more Wumpa fruit.

Naughty Dog reveal they’ve started work on The Last Of Us 2

And if Crash is nowhere to be seen, there’s always hope that Naughty Dog hints towards a The Last of Us sequel, even something as small as a logo and a screenshot will be enough for me.

Destiny 2

While a new update has already been revealed, Destiny 2 must surely be in the works. Perhaps a reveal at the Sony conference is being lined up.

New Ubisoft title

Ubi have become synonymous with rounding out their press conferences with the unveiling of something brand new. Ghost Recon: Wildlands was last year, Far Cry 4 the year before that. Does that mean Ubisoft’s ‘and finally’ moment could be Far Cry 5, a new Splinter Cell, or something brand entirely different?

Last Guardian “available now”

Sony has been quiet on The Last Guardian since is re-unveiling in 2015. It’s the type of game that might just have the “and you can buy it now” moment during the press conference.

The Fractured But Whole gameplay and out by end of the year

It’s the same story with the South Park sequel; Ubi has been tightlipped, but it seems that this could be a solid game to release around Christmas.

A Flurry of Bethesda Sequels

Wolfenstein 2, Evil Within 2, more Dishonored 2, Prey 2 - You get the jist.

Amy Hennig’s Visceral Star Wars title revealed

Since Hennig’s Naughty Dog departure she’s been working on an EA-published Star Wars third person action game - the resurrection of 1313 - it’s been a long time in the process and 2016 must be the year to give us a name, some gameplay and a general release window.

Badly lit teaser pics of the NX

While Nintendo have said that the NX won’t be at E3, I’ve reason to believe it will be behind closed doors. With that in mind, some sneaky so and so will take pictures of the next Nintendo console and send the entire internet into Hype-Mode 1000.

Half-Life 3 FINALLY revealed

You lot can always dream!

Next Elder Scrolls

Though Fallout 4 is still going strong, Bethesda must surely be working on another Elder Scrolls. It’s too early for gameplay or even a trailer, but something as small as a name and logo might just round out Bethesda’s press conference.

FFVII Demo with FFXV

Square Enix love a demo, so don’t be surprised to see one for FFVII thrown in with special editions of FFXV. But don’t hold your breath on a release window, though.

Another Sonic Reboot

Bigger, better and grittier than before. Sonic smokes, drinks and leads the hedgehog rebellion to fight off Dr Robotnik.

Half Life 3 - What hilarious genius suggested that?

Yay for badly lit NX pics! I'll take anything Nintendo I can get quite frankly.
