Handy Tips for Clockwork Ambrosia

Handy Tips for Clockwork Ambrosia

After playing many hours of Clockwork Ambrosia, I have some advice for players who are just starting the game.

Save as often as you possibly can, especially when you get to an all-new area. Make sure you find a point to record your progress because if you die, you go back to the last save point! It’s not fun to have to travel through the whole map to return to where you last were.

When you die, you will lose all the items and scrap metal (used as currency) that you had picked up since the last checkpoint. You can upgrade your weapons and stats for your main character. However, the upgrade comes at a cost and usually a high one, so keeping any of the scrap you find will be very important.

As you travel to new areas, you will find spots that you can’t get past. When such a situation happens, go to your map and place a marker where you got stuck so you know it's a spot to visit again later, once you get new weapons and abilities.

If you get stuck and don't know where to go, check your map. You will be able to see if the rooms you have visited or any of the paths you have followed seem to have an exit that you haven't found or areas that you had marked that you couldn’t get past. Look for hidden passages; sometimes there are walls that you can walk through or areas to crouch and walk under a ledge.

When fighting a difficult boss or an enemy, try out all the weapons that you have to see what works best. You can equip two at a time to flip between, but if you want, you can switch your gun loadout. Iris can also change up the mods that she has on each. Figuring out if it works better to have more ammo or a split shot is worth trying out. Or sometimes using the grenade launcher with sticky grenades works great on enemies that move a lot. This is where experimentation can really pay off.

Keep an eye out for any buttons to press or switches you can flip; these can open doors or gates or do things like drain water when you are in the underwater section. Doing this can reveal a whole new area for you to explore.

These are just a few things that I learned while playing Clockwork Ambrosia that could be handy to know ahead of time. If you have any other advice that you think people would find useful, be sure to comment below!
