Prelude Dark Pain Early Access Sneak Peek

A game being released, even if onto Early Access, is always an exciting time. The gaming public can finally sink its teeth into a new title, and the developers get some well-earned feedback on their hard work. It is especially interesting whenever the game in question is a first, be it a new IP or a developer's inaugural launch!

It is for this reason, and many more, that we were excited to get an early peek at the Early Access launch of Prelude Dark Pain.

Developed by Spanish indie studio QUICKFIRE GAMES and published by Firesquid and Gamersky Games, Prelude Dark Pain is a dark fantasy tactical RPG featuring turn-based combat and a deep, lore-filled world. In the game, players are tasked with forming their own adventuring party of heroes as they venture into the stricken land of Statera, both surviving the titular Dark Pain, an ancient and mysterious source of destruction, and fending off the forces of the tyrannical Order of the Ashen Crusade.

The soon-to-be-released Early Access version of the game will offer gamers a taste of said world, as it encompasses the first act of the narrative (around 15 hours of gameplay). Featuring nine playable heroes and an explorable world map, eager adventurers can get to grips with the combat system, skill synergies, and unique playstyles of each warrior.

Though it is only now coming out on Early Access, Prelude Dark Pain still has a few successes under its belt! In addition to being successfully funded via Kickstarter, the game also had a demo featured in Steam Next Fest with very positive results.

Prelude Dark Pain is set to release onto Steam Early Access on the 27th of July. The game is also available to wishlist on Steam!
