Useful Upgrades to Survive Longer in The Spell Brigade

So you’ve decided to check out The Spell Brigade. This game is like a lot of different survivor-type games, but here you can play cooperatively with other people to increase your chances for success. The problem is that setting up times to play with others online can be tricky, especially when everyone needs to own the game. Luckily, The Spell Brigade gives you the option to play solo, facing the enemies on your own. Here are some things you can do to increase your chance of survival, or at least let you last long enough that you can unlock some new characters and upgrades.

In the beginning, there is only one character available to select, a Brigadier named Reginald. As you play, there are others that you will be able to unlock, each with their own set of skills. Controlling Reginald is simple; he auto-fires at the enemy closest to him, and the only thing we need to worry about is avoiding all the bug-like foes coming to attack.

When an enemy is defeated, they drop mana, which will level up your sorcerer, teaching him new moves to use; there are three to choose from. Some make your attacks stronger, while others are focused on improving your character’s stats, and others teach all new spells. Your choices will have a massive impact on how successful your run is.

With survivor-type games, I have a bad habit of focusing on attacks. It is good to be able to do a lot of damage to the enemy, but it doesn’t help as much when you are totally surrounded, getting attacked from multiple directions. You will want to try to level up your character’s stats, along with spells, to get a good mix. Here are four power-ups that will help you out.

• Quickstep Surge increases your character's base move speed, which is incredibly helpful to dodge the enemies coming at you. When your run starts, it feels like you are moving in slow motion, and I just wanted a dash or something to help me get out of the way.

• Vitality Forge this will increase your max health by 100. Having as much health as possible is going to be instrumental to increasing your run length, so I suggest powering this one up as much as possible.

• Titan's Fury increases the base amount of damage you deal by 5%, making all your spells a bit stronger.

• Wizard’s Edge like the Titan’s Fury buff but stronger, increases the base amount of damage you deal by 20%; no matter which spell you are using, it makes your attack more powerful. 

These are just a few of the useful upgrades that you can pick up during your The Spell Brigade run. Once I stopped focusing only on the attacks and worked on improving the character, it made things a lot easier. Especially when you increase your movement speed, it helps a lot when you are trying to avoid the fast-moving enemies!
