10 Second Ninja Getting a Sequel of Sorts

10 Second Ninja Getting a Sequel of Sorts

As technology has improved, so have games. Platformers especially, have seemingly got longer and much more complicated than they used to be. But Four Circle Interactive aren't happy about those long, drawn out games. They long for the days when you could get through a level of a game in a few seconds, and this was why they created 10 Second Ninja. But they weren't happy with that either, and in an effort to keep themselves moving forward creatively, have created a newer version, dubbed 10 Second Ninja X.

The new title features all 40 levels from the original game, but adds to them with 60 new levels. Each level, as the name suggests is just ten seconds long. It's a gruelling, danger-filled ten seconds however so don't expect this to be an easy ride. Just like the previous game, it's tough as old boots so lasting the entire ten seconds without being horribly killed will be something of an achievement.

“Console players missed out on one of the freshest, most original puzzle platformers of recent years,” says Jason Perkins, managing director, Curve Digital, “so we’re thrilled to be able to help Four Circle Interactive rectify that with the sequel. 10 Second Ninja X is one of those rare gems that is instantly playable yet impossibly difficult. We can’t stop playing it here.”

“We definitely felt we had some unfinished business from the original release,” adds Dan Pearce, Four Circle Interactive, “so we’re thrilled to be partnering with Curve for a PC and console release. They really get what we’re doing with the game – and, unlike some other people we spoke to, didn’t suggest we called the sequel ’11 Second Ninja’. We’re can’t wait to find out whether PC or console players are the best at destroying insane robots in super-fast fashion.”

The new title is due on PC, PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita this summer. It will also feature cross save on the PS4 and Vita, meaning that you can take those ten second levels out and about with you as well.
