2XKO Launches on Consoles After Multi-month Wait
Riot Games has entered the fighting game market, competing against genre giants such as Street Fighter and TEKKEN. The League of Legends developer brings the Runeterra universe, making its debut in the genre as a free-to-play live-service title.
The title originally launched last October in 2025 in an early access state, where the game didn't launch its official Season 1. After a few months of testing and getting the PC community involved, the official "launch" came in the form of Season 1, with its 12th character, new skins, a new Battle Pass, and more.
Alongside this announcement came the fact that the title would now be playable on next-gen consoles, excluding Nintendo Switch 2. This means that if you've been waiting to pick up 2XKO and try it out for yourself, you can do so now through Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
