2XKO Shares 2026 Launch Trailer for Season 1

Riot Games has completed the team's invasion of the Fighting genre, bringing Runeterra to 2D fighting and competing against the likes of Street Fighter and TEKKEN. The launch of 2XKO has been a success so far, with players praising the title for its free-to-play model that — thus far — hasn't proven to be too predatory.

Now that the pre-season content has closed down and the early access period has completed, 2XKO is heading to its first season, and with it comes a few surprises. The new trailer shares a look at some of the changes that players can expect, accompanied by some banger music (which is pretty much expected from Riot Games at this point).

The two-minute-long trailer posted on the official 2XKO YouTube channel shows off a few of the new incoming skins and changes that players can expect. Of course, it comes as no surprise that Ahri is receiving premium treatment in the form of numerous skins, but the arrival of fan-favourite League of Legends skin lines like Arcade and Bee has been highly welcomed by the community.

Of course, it wouldn't be Riot Games if the team wasn't trying to prepare for tournaments, and the new skins named Frame Perfect are the way for the team to prepare the funds. Each skin sold will give a portion of the proceeds to fund the upcoming tournaments, which, if it's even a portion of the hype of Worlds, it is going to be a wild ride.

The trailer shows off the new Battle Pass content, alongside the new champion arriving, continuing with the Arcane trend. 2XKO now has Caitlyn as part of the playable characters, which wasn't on anyone's bingo list, considering how many competent fighters we're yet to see in the roster.

If you're keen on checking it out, 2XKO Season 1 is available right now as of January 21st.
