2XKO Shows Off Two More Upcoming Champions in Evo 2026 Trailer
Riot Games' 2XKO has been keeping up with its pace, far outdoing the original plans for champion releases that were set out for the game pre-launch. With Thresh and Samira coming out just this last patch, we thought it would go quiet for a while, but during Evo 2026, we got a chance to learn more about the upcoming champions that'll launch this fall.
In a short 50-second trailer, we get a look at mostly one of the champions who will be arriving: Lux. As a fan-favourite in League of Legends, it makes sense that she'd make her debut in 2XKO sometime soon, though no one expected her to arrive this early, given the fact that so many great fighter champions are still missing from the roster.
The lion's share of the video is showing off Lux's combo and some of her abilities, which is a great sneak peek at what's to come while we wait for official videos like champion overviews. For the Lux part of the trailer, we know that her full video will launch in fall 2026, as showcased by the final bit.

The second champion was later revealed in the ending of the video: Samira. While we didn't get a look at Samira's kit, she's a pretty great pick to join the roster, all things considered, though we don't know much more about when we'll learn more regarding her launch, meaning we might have to wait for a while to learn more about her moves.
From what it seems to be in the video, these will be the final two champions releasing in 2XKO for 2026. It's a rapid cadence, and one to be admired, though we can't help but wonder if the team will be able to keep up this pace after early lay-offs got rid of most of the staff.
