A New Walking Dead VR Game Releasing Early 2020

Skydance Interactive has partnered with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s company Skybound Entertainment to bring fans of the franchise a brand new VR game set in The Walking Dead universe, titled The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.

In Saint & Sinners, players will control a survivor in the city of New Orleans, and as the subtitle indicates player choice will play a large role. Whether or not players want to act as a more charitable survivor who helps others, or a selfish lone wolf who murders anyone that causes the slightest inconvenience is up to them. These actions will have larger effects on the balance in the city as a whole between the numerous factions.

While the trailer is much more conceptual in its delivery, not showcasing any direct gameplay, combat will also be a large factor in the game with several systems helping to flesh it out. Players can ambush enemies and craft a plethora of unique weapons, with physics based combat adding extra weight to kills.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is set to release 23rd January 2020.
