Age of Wonders 4 Announces Latest Expansion, Rise from Ruin, with Release Date Announcement Trailer

Triumph Studios and Paradox Interactive's Age of Wonders is now moving into its third year of post-launch content, offering a robust experience for all fans of the strategy 4X title. Now, the game has seen many updates and expansion releases, and with the third year, Age of Wonders 4: Expansion Pass 3 promises even more content for those looking to expand their experience. The latest trailer announced shows off the upcoming expansion, named Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin.

The latest announcement comes in the form of an official YouTube trailer called "Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin Release Date Announcement Trailer", which is a 50-second look at some cinematic elements before getting a peek at the Withered Worlds. However, that's not all that's coming with the latest expansion, as the team also announced that on the same day, the free Scorpion Update will be releasing.

Here's whats coming to Age of Wonders 4: Rise from Ruin:

• New culture named the Nomads, masters of mobility.
• New form called the Harefolk, survivors who outran the apocalypse.
• New World Map Content in a map named the Astral Barrens.
• New narrative content, as players will uncover the Fated Regions and the Withered Worlds.
• Three new Tomes.
• Six new Fractured creatures.
• Two new Desert animals.
• Five new Realm Traits with two new Realm Templates.
• Two new Mounts, the Camels and Scorpions.
• Three new Music Tracks from the composer Michiel van den Bos.
• New interface skin.

It's a pretty major DLC as the third major content update arriving toAge of Wonders Expansion Pass 3 owners, following Age of Wonders: Cosmic Wanderer and Age of Wonders: Thrones of Blood. The final expansion arriving to Expansion Pass 3, Age of Wonders: Secrets of the Archmages, will follow this latest one sometime in Q2 2026.
