Aldi set to Publish Videogames

Discount supermarket Aldi has announced its intention to publish videogames later this year. The German giant has expanded in recent years with more and more people choosing it as their first choice of supermarket. But in addition to Benguin bars, Hynes Soup, and Mummies Brown Sauce, you’ll soon be able to pick up some of Germany’s best videogames in the store’s famous middle aisle.
With the company sourcing many of its food products from its native Germany, it makes sense to see the same thing happen with games. As a result, the first games published will be some of Germany’s best selling simulator games, including Omnibus Simulator 2021, Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver 6, and Milk Float Simulator Pro DX. In keeping with Aldi’s penchant for naming their products after more expensive competitors, the label will be known as “Actionvision Snowstorm”.
The first titles in the range will be available next Thursday for the PC, PS4, Xbox and Bandai Wonderswan. More formats including the Ouya, Stadia and Aldi’s own console the PloyStation Live will be available later in the year. Vive le Deutschland as they say!
