All Walls Must Fall, From the Creators of The Mammoth

All Walls Must Fall, From the Creators of The Mammoth

Back in the heady days of the summer 2015, everything was going well at Yager. Dead Island 2 was being worked on and things seemed good. Unfortunately, the sad news of that game's cancellation hit, and staff there realised that this may well mean redundancies. Four of the team at the Berlin-based developer decided to enter a game jam together to test the waters and see if going it alone would work. That resulted in The Mammoth: A Cave Painting.

Spurred on by the success of that game, Inbetweengames have started work on their first commercial title, the Tech-Noir tactics game All Walls Must Fall. The game is set in an alternate-history Berlin in 2089. In this universe, the cold war never ended, and East and West Germany are still at odds with one another. Playing as a spy, you must uncover the secrets surrounding a nuclear attack that threatens to wipe out most of the world.

With a futuristic setting and time travel elements, the game is very much sci-fi influenced. Citing inspiration from games such as X-Com, Planescape and Syndicate, the game is set to be a dystopian take on the classic turn-based-strategy genre. It will feature a unique mix of 2D and 3D artwork, based around traditional cold war era propaganda posters.
