Baby Yoda Makes His Way to The Sims 4

Baby Yoda Makes His Way to The Sims 4

The Mandalorian has quickly become one of the most well-liked pieces of Star Wars media in quite some time, certainly since Disney took over the property. The show's western-inspired theme, use of practical effects and intriguing world-building techniques are leaving viewers excited to dive into the Star Wars universe in a way that the recent films just haven't managed. Of course, it'd be impossible to bring up The Mandalorian's popularity without mentioning the phenomenon that is The Child, affectionately referred to by fans as "Baby Yoda".

In a shockingly short space of time, the adorable little Force-user has captured the hearts of Star Wars fans. He's already the star of various pieces of fan-art, discussion and internet memes. The show's merchandise has also focused on the character; there's a myriad of t-shirts, plushies and Pop Vinyl figures capitalising off of viewers' adoration.

The latest tie-in to jump aboard the Baby Yoda bandwagon is The Sims 4. In its latest update, a Baby Yoda replica statue was made available for players to purchase and display in their home. Although officially titled "The Child", the statue's description still makes explicit reference to the character's widely used name.

Lyndsay Pearson, GM of The Sims, shares The Sims Studio's enthusiasm for Star Wars when she states: "We're huge fans of The Child ourselves and we're really excited to work with our partners at Lucasfilm to bring this lovable replica statue".

The statue is available now for all players of The Sims 4.
