Bongo Cat Releases New Collaboration for Its Upcoming Published Game

Bongo Cat is one of the few indie success stories that showcases the strength of creating something original and expanding it to share the glory. Irox Games hit gold with its Community Market Steam game that mimicked the likes of Banana, becoming even more prominent in the genre and the go-to hangout for those who want to spend time as cats (or others).

With the game's success, the team began using its profitability to instead share the love, bringing about the birth of cross-game collaborations in the idler. For some developers, Irox Games offers a unique cosmetic, so long as the player plays the target demo for a limited time, bringing a cosmetic that won't become available at a later date.

For the latest of these, it's Nightwater, the latest game that Irox Games will be publishing. Set to launch sometime in Q3 2026, it's an automation factory game where players expand on an island, discover new biomes, and progress through various ages.

There are two items available for the Nightwater collaboration: the Nightwater Backpack and the Nightwater Cat. Here's how you can unlock them:

• To get the Nightwater Backpack, players have to wishlist the game on Steam.
• To get the accompanying Nightwater Cat, players need to play the demo for five minutes.

It's unclear when these will become unavailable, but we've seen in prior collaborations that these are limited-time events, which means the items won't drop forever. Pick up the Nightwater set before it runs out!
