BOXROOM Announces Upcoming Early Access Launch

Nested Loop Studios and Pantaloon announced the release date for BOXROOM. This game works more like an application, where digital collectors can design their home and decorate their desired living space, all with the items they own on their Steam library.

The creative little title creates a "physical" collection of all sorts of titles, asking the player to organise their home with everything to do with their Steam library. Each title has its own case based on the Steam profile, including case art and content inside based on screenshots and more.

The title was announced just last month, and it has received a wide following since then, getting 50,000 wishlists and 53,000 demo downloads in the time frame. The demo allowed players to create living spaces (with a limited selection of items) that showcase how BOXROOM will work in its upcoming Early Access launch.

The gameplay loop essentially revolved around organising your "physical" game collection, as BOXROOM grows with your Steam library. Bring down walls, purchase furniture, assemble shelves, and organise titles in the way you want to, giving a more immersive, hands-on experience with a digital-only license ownership that the videogame industry has pushed towards.

Nostalgia and videogame collection meet cosy decoration, as BOXROOM prepares for its release on the 26th of May 2026, inviting all sorts of digital collectors to the experience. The Early Access is set to last some time between six and nine months, and Nested Loop Studios has stated the team will be trying to release a new major content update every month after its launch.
