Brightlocker Readying For Launch

The beta of crowd-sourced game creation site Brightlocker is now over. After a successful testing period, the company are looking to move on to the next phase with a full launch set to arrive shortly.

Those who were in the beta test will retain their accounts and associated details such as achievements. Registration for new contenders will be opening after launch, with users able to vote on a new selection of potential games, but before that, there's the small matter of the winning game from season two to be announced.

In a statement to the press, Brightlocker told us: "In coming weeks, we’ll be busy working on the back-end as we also continue pre-production of Side Scrolling Pixel Heroine, our Season 1 winner, and deciding the winning game idea for Season 2, to be announced on the 23rd of January. Sometime this spring, we plan to reveal our biggest improvement and new feature adds to the platform. We, along with all our advisors and early alpha testers, are extremely excited to introduce what we think are revolutionary changes to how games will be crowdfunded and crowd-developed going forward."
