Cathedral: Crow's Curse Receives Free Demo

Shown off during the Mundo Gamer Showcase, Decemberborn Interactive's Cathedral: Crow's Curse had an exciting announcement for players. This prequel to the team's debut title, Cathedral, is a 2D metroidvania experience with action-adventure combat focused on parrying and dodging.

The Hollow Knight–inspired game has players witnessing the events leading up to the 2019 release. This'll take place across a large, sprawling and interconnected world, filled with characters of both the friend and foe variations, taking advantage of the tight and responsive controls.

The team announced that Cathedral: Crow's Curse has an official demo available, inviting players to check out the experience. This free gameplay section shows off the game's core mechanics and two areas — the Deep Forest and Elarion's Refuge — to get a good feel of the game.

The demo is available now on PC via Steam, and Cathedral: Crow's Curse will release sometime in 2026.
